Grape shears were used in the 19th century to cut grape stalks into single portions. The long handles were specifically designed to reach into a cluster of grapes. They have blunt tips, to avoid puncturing the grapes. One blade is perforated, the other is straight. This silver plated grape shears are decorated with raccoons climbing the vines, trying to reach the grapes. Thanks to my mom, for finding these!
I call this one the Mary Jane, because she's made of sweet, old fashioned granny squares, but looks like she'd rather be up in the clouds. Made with our Victorian floral scissors, color silver. These scissors are a little bigger than the unicorn and heart scissors, and feel durable and substantial. The blade size is about the same, approximately 1", very sharp and pointy.
